Congress created this park in 1964 to preserve the home, studio, and gardens of sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens. Saint-Gaudens, an Irish-French immigrant of humble beginnings, defined the American Renaissance in sculpture, and many regard him as the nation’s preeminent Gilded Age sculptor. He created world-famous sculptures of Civil War heroes, U.S. presidents, and Roman goddesses, and he also supported the arts by teaching and by establishing the Cornish Colony of artists in New Hampshire. A hand-rendered illustration styled after the vintage poster art of the 20th century, this design is available as a poster, framed print, metal sign, canvas, or as a set of notecards or postcards. This original national park art and travel art would look great on any wall in the home, or at the workplace.
